Easter Basket Ideas for Toddlers (& Bonus Adult Ideas)

So many of you seemed to like my Leprechaun basket post, I decided to round up my Easter Baskets for you in a post as well! I guess it isn’t surprising, you probably love seasonal baskets for the same reason I do – themes and color coding and finding matching books and snacks just make your heart happy? Or is that just me?

Anyway… my son will be allllmost 2 this summer, and he LOVES to be “outside, outside!” as well as helping and doing everything adults are doing. We have LOTS of gardening to get done, since our house is new and our landscaper started planting all of our new baby grass and baby plants the SAME DAY my son was born, I kid you not. If you have ever tried to take care of baby plants, baby grass, and a baby human at the same time let me tell you – it isn’t really possible. Our garden and yard need a LOT of TLC this summer, so hopefully Jack will like helping with that and he will have the tools to do it!

I’ve discovered that I love a formula for a basket (thanks to Haley over at Haley Wynn Designs) so each seasonal basket includes a toy(s) for the upcoming season (in this case summer), some books that go with the theme, and a few things we need anyway (in this case summer shoes and summer esesntials for Jack) as well as snacks (anyone else have a snack monster toddler?)

At the bottom I am also including a little round up of what I got my husband. His is stuff he needed/wanted for summer anyway, but I like to put it in a basket.

I am using these baskets from Target (also my Leprechaun baskets, Valentine’s Day Baskets, and Christmas Season baskets with a changed out tag from HERE)

Gardening Tools Set

Flower Garden Building Toy

Native Shoes (for “working” in the garden)

Hello, World! Garden Time Board Book

I Can Grow a Flower Board Book

We are The Gardeners Book

The Little Gardener Board Board Book

Up in the Garden, Down in the Dirt Book

And whatever snacks I feel like throwing, likely some Easter Veggie Straws from Target and some Easter Themed Applesauce Pouches, also from Target.

I am also adding a few other things he really needs for summer, but aren’t exactly “garden” themed to the basket.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen Applicator the IG moms swear by

Sun hat (hoping he will keep this one on his head?)

Sandals

Sunglasses (almost positive he won’t keep these on, but they were too cute not to buy)

He already has a few swimsuits and rash guards that still fit, don’t need any more of those (my husband loves buying these for Jack, so I don’t have any links)

I also got my husband and myself some things we need for summer

My sunscreen – and A LOT of it!

His sunscreen – yes, we all have different sunscreen. We are pale Irish people and whatever gets us all to wear sunscreen I will pay for

Sandals for me – still waiting on a good sale on regular Birkenstocks, I need a new pair but I can’t bring myself to spend full price

Sandals for him

Some sun shirts for him (he doesn’t like how rash guards fit – hope he ikes these!)

We all stocked up on Summer shorts and shirts during the Vineyard Vines Outlet Sale that happened after Christmas, we are are allll set in the summer clothes department

We also snagged some Easter themed books for our bookshelf – we will add after St. Patricks day is over

You’re My Little Hunny Bunny

Construction Site Spring Delight

plus adding our Spring Play Dough Kit from Young Wild and Friedman to his Play Dough Caddy
