Diverse Books for Speech Therapy

I, along with many other people in the education field, have definitely come to the realization that the diversity in our picture books is abysmal. I thought it was ok because most of my books didn’t even have people in them they were all animals, that’s ok right?? Wrong… I needed to do better with using books with my students with. characters that LOOK like them and have the same EXPERIENCES as them. Enter, this giant haul of Diverse Books for Speech Therapy.

As teachers and educational professionals we don’t get paid a lot, so, totally overhauling our books is generally out of the budget right? Wrong. I got an GIANT diverse books haul from Scholastic Book Clubs for under 50 dollars. And I mean… a lot of books. Let me show you what I got!

I’ve included Amazon affiliate links in the list for easy shopping, but I highly suggesting looking on the Scholastic Book Clubs Website because you can find the exact books for 1/2 to 1/3 of the price! Any educator can sign up for a free account for great deals on books and great freebies!
